Happy Friday!

Our awesome nanny captured this picture today of Thomas in her blinged out Uggs.  Poor baby is getting over a bad case of croup this week.  That aside, can we say CUTE?!

Halloween 2012

This Halloween we were hoping for a few less tears and a lot more candy.  Got a little of both....

Getting ready to go out - not happy with his costume!!

Hi boys!  Oh, is Thomas scaring you?!

 There's always one....

               Captain America                                                  Thomas the Train

Hamburger (more like the candy burglar!  He demanded we immediately open every piece of candy he received at the door!  His first taste at chocolate and he was addicted.  Needless to say he crashed and burned early)

Aunt Sarah & Uncle Casey were so nice to come out and go Trick or Treating with the boys.  They managed to calm their nerves and get a lot more candy then we have in years past. Thanks for joining us!!

We also had some celebrating to do at St. Davids for Ben & AJ.  Here are some photos from their parade (Ben refused to wear his costume) and their class parties....

Captain America was popular this year1  Here are Owen & AJ flexing their muscles together...

AJ always makes himself known.... this was Ben's party.

Disney - Part 3

The last day we went back to Magic Kingdom.  By now we were pretty used to the fears of restaurants (AJ refused any other park dinning experience after his terrifying experience at Hollywood Studios) and just took our time riding dumbo (another 20 times), the Barnstormer, and the Main Street Train.  We pleaded with them to ride Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain but after Seth and I rode them individually we realized it was better they refused.

By mid-afternoon we were dumbo-d out and were anxious to get home to Thomas (who loves balloons!!)

We hit up the gift shop on the way out (the boys favorite part of the trip - outside the monorail!!) and called our vacation a "learning experience".  Mickey left the boys some coloring books for the airplane that night (each night he left them a T-shirt to wear that day at the park) so that was fun too.

The good news is the boys did fabulous on our flights and earned their wings.  I hoping this new found experience will come in handy on our trip to the beach next year.... ahem, Seth!!  ;-)

Disney - Part 2

More on our trip from Disney World - the fun begins now!!!!

Wednesday was the Magic Kingdom - we had high hopes!!  Looking back we should have started here.  By this point the boys were untrusting of our pleas that "this ride is really safe!!"  The highlight was riding our much anticipated monorail ride to the park.  This was a great time.

  Teacups and Carousel with AJ

We managed to get them on Dumbo (15 times), the Barnstormer (which is actually a nice little roller coaster - see video!), the speedway, and Astro Orbitor.  We took them on the People Mover which went through dark tunnels and scared them the rest of the day.  We finished up at Tom Sawyers Island where we departed from Uncle Jon & Aunt Cori.  Again, hoping they'd enjoy the Electrical Parade they demanded we leave after the sun went down (even though we took them back to nap mid-day).

Sugar overload at 3pm

Thursday was nice.  We went to Animal Kingdom and had a nice day.  Despite leaving the stroller behind, we walked a lot and saw lots of great animals.  We even convinced the boys to go on the Safari where we saw lions, giraffes, elephants, hippos, and gators, among others.  It was a really fun experience.

Train ride from Asia - Ben was really curious about this engine!!

The boys also went to a petting area where they were able to brush some goats and pigs.  Ben was tentative (kept watching the head of the animal in attempt to forecast his next move) but it was a successful experience.  Top it off with cookies, ice cream, and carnival games, this park was a hit!
