Today we leave Hilton Head for Lake Greenwood. Hopefully we can manage this trip with less meltdowns and wrong turns! Stay tuned!

Resort Fun
More Beach Fun
Today we went back to the beach. It was great. Ben stayed hydrated and kept a fully tummy while AJ napped peacefully inside a tent.
All was well when Ben saw the amazing sand turtle Mommy built for him, which he proceeded to then pet his head and ride him like a donkey.
Ben made new a new friend who shared his toys. When it was time to go our separate ways Ben was not happy that he had to depart not only his friend, but more importantly the truck.
Ever heard of a beach meltdown?

Beach Fun
Ben has been enjoying Hilton Head. He's taken a few rides on the back of the bike, and enjoyed his time playing on the beach.
One of Mommy's favorite games to play with Ben was 'Chase the Beach Ball'. The wind would blow the ball at the same rate that Ben could keep up with. It was a great tactic to wear him out before nap time.

Heat Exhaustion
Over 16 hours in the car, coupled with exhaustion and blazing heat will cause your kids to do some crazy things!! Here are some videos of Ben and AJ the past few days....
Hello from the Beach!
Our few days in Myrtle were great. Ben enjoyed both the pool and beach, and most importantly, playing with Caleb's toys! We left for Hilton Head Friday afternoon, and our car trip was once again quite the adventure. More to come on that in our next blog!

Safe and Sound
8 DVDs, 4 stops, 7 diaper changes, 3 meltdowns, 3 shots of 'energy' and we finally arrived at 9:30 last night. A typical 7 hour trip to Myrtle beach took the Sinclairs a total of 12 hours. It didn't help that we arrived at our address in South Myrtle Beach instead of North Myrtle Beach either. Despite Ben not napping at all in the car, he managed to relax once he saw all the sights and lights on the boardwalk. His favorite were the 'Pirate Ships' at the mini-golf courses. He loved them so much in fact, he woke up at 4am requesting 'Pirate Ships' in his sleep.
Needless to say, despite the car ride from Hell, at least someone woke up happy!
And after seeing the view this morning all of those painful memories melted away.
Thanks so much for the Olivers and Bayless' opening up their home, their toys, and their love to us the next few days!!

Baller
Recently I've found myself letting Ben take a toy to bed with him. For whatever reason it helps him fall asleep faster! Tonight I made a reconnaissance mission in to remove said 'toy' and this is what I found.
Better luck next time.

Wild in West Virginia
This weekend we went up to West Virginia with the Clements. We stayed at my parents lake house. Owen took quite a liking to AJ. Owen helped him when he would drop his pacifier by replacing it.
Owen and Ben tried to stay cool by splashing in the pool.
Then Owen went in for a closer look at the lake while Ben became enamored with Owen's toy Thomas'.
AJ tried to enjoy the outdoors but all the gnats left him lackadaisical.
Melissa found tiny frogs and shared them with Ben, who quickly shunned them in favor of, you guessed it, his new found Thomas toy.
Speaking of Thomas, he seemed to entertain the boys most of the weekend. Ben was busy building long sets of trains which he quickly kicked apart when he became frustrated.
Thanks again to the Clements for coming to visit!

4th of July Festivities
Our weekend was filled with fun activities! Friday we enjoyed a family trip to the pool and park (despite the cold weather) and in the afternoon Uncle Jon and Cori came over to play and join us for pizza dinner!
Saturday morning we woke up and went to the Leesburg parade with our friends Cyndy & Jeremy and their children Mackenzie and Caleb. We were in such a rush we forgot to put shoes on Ben but he seemed content staying seated or in Daddy's arms the entire time.
We stopped by the Jenkins to celebrate Logan's baptism - Ben played with all of Sawyer and Dillon's toys and I came home and stalked eBay for the same items. Finally, Sunday Amanda & Jude came to watch the boys while Seth and I enjoyed the afternoon off and had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The boys were spoiled as always - here is a shot Amanda got of them on their walk to the park.
