Lions & Tigers & Bears OH MY!

Today we left AJ with Grandmom and Pop-Pop (they are in town for the week!) so we could take Ben to enjoy the National Zoo in DC.

While Ben was distracted by who knows what, Daddy pointed out something more interesting...

We saw zebras, elephants, monkeys, prairie dogs, pandas, and more! But the ONE THING missing from the zoo today? Giraffes!!

After a quick stop at Ben's favorite exhibit (the octopuses) we had a nice picnic lunch as a family.

And wouldn't you know it... all the excitement left Ben no choice but to fall asleep on the way home. Mental note the for next road trip! ;-)
