The Cadillac

Andrew is a new baby these days! The colic and reflux that was plaguing him in his first few months has improved tremendously! One trick was adding a thickening gel to his bottled called Simply Thick.

However the REAL gem is a pillow we like to call "The Cadillac".

Now the reason we call this pillow the Cadillac isn't just because it cost us an arm and a leg. This pillow is the definition of baby luxury. It is like sleeping on a throne, covered in a velour satin. He sleeps so peacefully you would have thought I was petting his head all night. It is so massive it takes up a good portion of the crib. Let's just hope he outgrows the reflux before he outgrows the pillow!!

Memorial Day Fun

This weekend we had a great time with our family and friends.

While Amanda loved up on Andrew, Ben explained the theory of evolution while Jude listened intently.

Ben took after his father and shoveled every ounce he could fit in his mouth before cleaning the deck (with the only thing he felt suitable... a grill brush).

Even the adults were able to enjoy some fun after the boys went to bed.

Ben also made it to the pool this weekend (he was sporting his Matthew Mcconaughey surfer look) and Andrew stayed cool inside.

Sunday we went to the Clements for a pot-luck dinner where Ben proudly claimed every one of Owen's toys for himself.

Thankfully AJ was occupied by his girlfriend Logan and took a quick nap on Cyndy's shoulder.

At least Jackson & Addison taught Ben some table manners!

The Happy Dance

Ben has a special 'happy dance' he'll like to perform from time to time (usually when he's done something he is proud of, like eat a handful of cookies). I've tried to capture this dance at different moments, but to no avail. This video has tiny snip-its of the happy dance, but he is so excited about his too-small monkey slippers he doesn't know what to do with himself!

Crazy Diet Update: 3

After a weekend full of Papa John's pizza and enough pasta from Generous George's to feed a family of 10, I think it's safe to say Seth's diet has come to a screeching halt. Enough so, in fact, that a food comatose took effect this evening. To his defense his allergies were KILLING him the past few days and I know that delicious food is usually a cure-all for him.

Crazy Diet Update: 2

Day 14

Number of Diet Slip-Ups: Ummmm.....
Push-ups completed: Not enough worth mentioning here

Well first, I think I forgot to mention that the weekends were Seth's day to 'cheat' on his diet. He was allowed 2 meals on the weekend to eat whatever he wanted. Well, those meals became 'pig-fests' and left overs were to be eaten the following day. This past weekend Seth got a little bug (he claims the Frosted Mini-Wheats and/or Skim Deluxe Milk are tainted) and had to resort to a few days of crackers and toast. While Seth is still trying to 'diet' I think it's safe to say the cover is blown. I meaaaaaan, it's not like Ben is eating Tostitos by the bulk-full here!

Meanwhile, Ben continues to amaze us with his unique palate by dipping his Flavor Ice in ketchup.
