Who could forget the post of Ben when he was just a little guy - entitled "Diaper Head". Well here he is with a swim diaper on his head... only nuttier.

Ahhhhhh!
Ben has been practicing drinking out of a cup. Here he is expressing the satisfaction of a refreshing glass of cold water.
Unfortunately he hasn't been able to temper the thrill of dumping it all out after a few sips.

Sunday Funday
Today was a fun day for us! After church we took Ben to the mall to ride the Choo-Choo Train.
Afterward we got Ben & Seth matching haircuts. This was the first time Ben didn't fight or cry! We took a quick trip to the park nearby and then finished of the evening wolfing down delicious Moby Dicks kabobs.

Crabfest VII
Despite the rainy weather Ben and Mommy went over to the Phillips house to partake in Uncle Jon's 7th annual Crabfest.
Uncle Jon had novelty koozies made just for the occasion and he and Ben had a great time stacking them and knocking them down.
Over.
And over.
And over again.
It was all fun and games until Ben took a running slap into my koozie that was holding a cup of sangria. You win some, you lose some I guess!

Lions & Tigers & Bears OH MY!
Today we left AJ with Grandmom and Pop-Pop (they are in town for the week!) so we could take Ben to enjoy the National Zoo in DC.
While Ben was distracted by who knows what, Daddy pointed out something more interesting...
We saw zebras, elephants, monkeys, prairie dogs, pandas, and more! But the ONE THING missing from the zoo today? Giraffes!!
After a quick stop at Ben's favorite exhibit (the octopuses) we had a nice picnic lunch as a family.

Highway to Hell
We tried a new tactic on the 9 hour drive home - leaving right after dinner. We thought it would make for an easy trip assuming both boys would sleep. AJ won MVB (Most Valuable Baby) as he slept only a few hours, interspersed with babbles and coos throughout the drive. The poor thing even survived sitting in a soiled diaper for God knows how long! Ben was able to doze off for a total of 60 minutes, but awoke at midnight frustrated and screaming. Needless to say, the last 2 and a half hours of our trip were not pleasant. We arrived bright eyed and bushy tailed at 2:30 am!
(This was a video of AJ sleeping, sucking his little lip)
We were relieved to be home until we discovered that our fridge had kicked the bucket. The smell of rotten food and mold was so potent we weren't sure if there were rodents that had crawled in and died along with it! Needless to say, the cleanup wasn't pretty!

Golfing in Greenwood
It has been 7 years since I have swung a golf club. Regardless, I hit the links in Grand Harbor with Seth today. After muffing my first 3 shots I realized it was better to stick with photography instead!

Lake Greenwood
We arrived safe and sound at Lake Greenwood (a few U-Turns required) Friday afternoon. The boys were excited to see Grandmom and Pop-Pop. We have already taken the boat out on the Lake and visited the pool, clubhouse, playground and golf course. Naps for Mom and Dad rounded out a perfect day!
