VBS - A first "like" for Ben!

A few weeks ago we enrolled Ben in Vacation Bible School (the theme was SKY).  It was held at St. David's.  He absolutely loved it!  I think having his buddy Owen in his class  helped a bunch.  This was a first for Ben in terms of being excited about an activity (preschool and other camps haven't been his thing - even having AJ with him).  He was sad to see it end and we're excited for next years VBS experience!!

The Stars Have Aligned (or are at least trying to!)

We've had a big month here at the Sinclair's!!  In the past two weeks Thomas has started walking (though he still prefers to crawl) and finally dropped his morning nap (that was a hellacious few months getting over THAT!)  He's also outgrown the milk intolerance (HOORAY!) and has just transitioned off Elecare to whole milk.

Video of Thomas showing his newly found skills - Frankenstein style!

With our vacation only a few weeks away I'm praying Thomas finishes his teething (he's getting the last of his four teeth in now) and also transitions off his antacid medications.  Wishful thinking I know, but honestly I couldn't be happier with the progress we have made around here.  Thomas eats a variety of foods I couldn't have imagined possible and enjoys to self feed (read: cover himself in food from head to toe).

Today Thomas had his 15 month checkup and we're happy to see our little munchkin is growing up!  He's getting meatier and now weighs in at 23 lbs (30th percentile) and is 31.5 inches tall (65 percentile).

Happy Anniversary!!

A special anniversary shout out to Uncle Jon & Aunt Cori - we are happy that Cori has survived this first year with Jon. It is clear that the newlywed phase isn't wearing off any time soon for these happy love birds!

Speaking of newlyweds, we also want to say happy 1 month anniversary to Aunt Sarah & Uncle Casey!!  We hope you enjoyed your honeymoon!!

Congrats to Cousin Harry!

We were so excited to hear that Harry received a special scholarship award (Marconi Award) that is given only once a year.  This award recognized his dedication, perseverance and sense of camaraderie within his school.  He graduated Jr. High with honors and will be a freshman next year!  We are so proud of you Harry!!  (Harry is pictured far right with his friends)

Happy Father's Day

We enjoyed Father's Day with some outdoor time and topped it off with some ice cream after dinner.  The boys always have a great time when they're able to run wild.

Happy Father's Day Seth!  You always brighten our days and we're thankful for all you do for us!  And a Happy Father's Day to Grandpa and Pop-pop too!

Nana's house

Is always a treat.  Usually in excess of food and toys but this time even Grandpa provided some excitement for the boys!  Looking forward to our next dip in the pool!

Herndon Festival

Today we took the boys to the Herndon Festival.  Initially we wanted to go as there was a model train display that was set up.  We arrived just as they were taking it down, but did still manage to enjoy some snacks (too many for AJ... that he never ate) and have the boys aboard some rides.  They had a wonderful time!!

Their first roller coaster!  Success!  Can't wait for Disney.

All smiles (despite having to pee their pants)

Soccer Stars

Today the boys had their last soccer practice of the season.  This year we had a waiver to have Ben & AJ play on the same team (Ben played with AJ's age group).  It worked out well and both boys actually took an interest in playing.  AJ was the chatterbox of the group and always first in line to start drills.  Ben was the team all-star but tired after 5 minutes.

And snack time was always their favorite part of practice!

I'm excited to see what next year bring them!!  Especially for Thomas... who will hopefully enjoy more than eating grass at their games.

Happy Friday!
