Beat the Heat!

This afternoon we took a nice family trip. We went to the park for a bit, but it was so hot we didn't last long.

Ben loved the swings as usual and AJ enjoyed his first trip in the swing!

Afterward we hit up Reston Town Center. Ben loved the 'waterfalls' and tossed all of the change in my purse in the fountain.

We then enjoyed a nice dinner at Rio Grande. There is no denying Ben is his mother's son as he ate everything in sight. I think Mexican food is his new favorite!

Happy Friday!

Tooth Town

Ben had his first trip to the dentist last Friday. Since he has quite a fear of doctors, I talked it up the entire week - you know, how much fun the dentist can be. He did really good, I have to admit. Although all they did was look in his mouth and count his teeth. I wanted to take his picture to document how happy he was, but as soon as I went to get the shot, THIS is what I got.

Oh well, better luck next time!

Happy Father's Day

Today we wanted to wish all the father's out there a Happy Father's Day! But we especially wanted thank Daddy for all his hard work around the house and for being such a PERFECT 'da-da' to his boys. We are so blessed to have him - even if he's a little goofy!!

Puddles!

Today we ventured to Frying Pan Park, yet again. With the hard storms last night I had to make an emergency pit-stop into Target on the way over to pick Ben up some rain boots.

I think that was his highlight of the whole experience, jumping in the puddles!

Owen agreed, and hit up every puddle along the way. Meanwhile Ben checked for ticks.

Ben checked out the animals up and close and personal for the first time (the wipes were closely in tact, ready to fight off the germs!)

Mackenzie was a great big Sissy and led the boys down the straight path...

Ben was happy that Owen was taking him for a ride...

Then Ben decided he was going to drive the tractor himself for a bit!

Before leaving the farm everyone enjoyed a brief snack. I think the boys were jealous of Ben's fruit snacks, even though Ben stole food from everyone else.

Weekend Warriors

This past weekend we enjoyed some outdoor activities after being cooped up all week with the terrible weather!

Friday night we hit up Broadlands Live for a children's concert and lots of yummy food! We were joined by our friends Amanda & Jude, and Anna and Aaron and their two kids Connor & Sophie.

Even Seth was able to relax after a beer or two. This was despite having his trunk broken when he took it in for an oil change earlier that day.

Ben stuffed his face with cookies while Connor enjoyed the massive snow cones.

Sunday we went to Grandpa & Grandma Phillips' house for some pool fun!!

Ben loved running up their water bill by spraying water all over the patio.

Happy Friday!

This was a photo of Ben captured last week at the park. His eyes were closed as he spun around in pure bliss! Nothing more innocent then this.

Got some photos of Ben this morning in his crib!

He'll never give up his Raf!

Or sucking his thumb, for that matter!

Where's Waldo??

This is what you resort to when you are stuck in a house with two crazy kids.

Aaaa-choo!

Both boys have been sick with a cold all week. It's been miserable being cooped up! It gave me plenty of time to take pointless photos of the boys though.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

My New Canon Rebel

After months of saving I was able to get my Canon Rebel XS!! Here are some of my first shots taken! I hope to get some REAL shots of the boys now!!

Don't Mess with Texas!

Last weekend Seth and I went to Austin Texas for the wedding of our friends Erik & Julie. Friday night we took advantage of kid-less night and spent the night on the town. Before the clock struck 12 we visited a martini bar, Irish pub, Jazz Band, Hooka Bar, and dance club. We also enjoyed a fabulous dinner at The Belmont.

Seth was bold enough to get a REAL haircut at a men's salon (per my request).

He was not bold enough to finish this here burrito though (despite trying his best once he knew I was going to document his efforts). I did quite a bit of damage myself on my plate.

We saw the Capital and attended mass at St. Marys.

Both boys were well cared for under Grandmom & Pop-Pop Sinclair and didn't seem to miss us in the slightest! We were glad to get home and love them up though!
