Pumpkinville with Grandmom and Pop-pop

We had a fun-filled weekend!!  Between Ben's birthday and a friend's birthday party, then Pumpkinville the boys were pretty beat when Sunday evening rolled around.  We were so excited that Granmom and Pop-pop could join the boys at the Leesburg Animal Park.  They all had a great time!!

Ben Turns SIX

I originally wanted to do a very small birthday party for Ben.  But believe it or not, he's made so many friends over the summer that he wanted to include it became somewhat of a celebration!

What normally would have been a stressful experience turned out to be a great time for him.  Several friends from preschool, childhood friends, friends he made over the summer, and even a new bus-pal joined his party at Curiosity Zone.  Ben's love for science and Legos made for a great time.

After his party Uncle Jon and Aunt Cori joined us at home with Seth's parents for some quality time together and Jon helped assemble most of Ben's lego presents :-)

Happy Birthday Ben - you continue to amaze me with your continued growth, confidence, and love.  I love you!!

First Day of School

The boys had a great first day of school - especially Ben.  He was super excited to ride the bus, and had no fears about going to kindergarten.  He absolutely loves his teacher, Mrs. TerVeen and leaves for school with a smile on his face.

I've also learned a thing or two when Ben started school - like I don't know how to spell Kindergarten.  I think I was pre-focused on the fact that Seth accidentally shaved his eyebrow just several days prior to the first day of school during an attempt to fix Hair Cuttery's butchering job.

AJ also had a great first day of preschool at St. Davids.  He is the Toucans class with Ms. Sarah and Ms. Connie - whom Ben had when he was in the Four's program there.

Thomas, well, I couldn't potty train him (he refused, and since he rules the house, he wins) so instead of joining AJ at St. Davids I enrolled him in a Mom's Morning Out program in Ashburn - the same one AJ was in when he was 2 and a half.

They all seem to be doing great, and Mommy sure is happy they are growing into such wonderful and confident little boys!!
