Fun in DC - Dinosaurs and Monster Trucks!

Later this Spring the National History Museum will be closing the dinosaur exhibit for several years.  I thought it would be a good time to take the boys downtown since Thomas has become obsessed with Monster Jam and there was a show at the Verizon Center this weekend.  We all went to the museum, had a great lunch downtown, then Seth and Thomas ventured to Monster Jam while Ben, AJ, and myself checked out the National Building Museum.

Ben and AJ are content doing anything where they can build, though "learning" isn't something they would chose to do if they were given the option.

Thomas absolutely loved Monster Jam.  He has been asking non-stop when we will go back.  It was a great weekend for Thomas b/c he also loves dinosaurs.

Summer in December

The weather has been unseasonably warm, here are some fun adventures we had while daddy is recovering from his tonsillectomy!  

First Snow of the Season

Today we had our first snow of the season!  Seth took the boys out to play, they had a great time!

Winter Wonderland at Dutch Wonderland

As a last minute trip we took the boys back up to Dutch Wonderland for their Winter Wonderland festivities.  It was COLD but the boys were not at all bothered by.  Thomas cried a bit, but mostly because he wanted to ride all of the rides and didn't like waiting in line.  It was a great time had by all.

The next morning we checked out the National Toy Train museum in Strausburg, then the Choo Choo Barn, which we had seen a few years ago when we came for Day Out With Thomas.  However, Ben got a little nervous and asked to leave when the lights when out for the nighttime scene so that wasn't money well spent

We got a chance to see Thomas at a railroad crossing too!!  The boys had a great time, but I'm all trained out for now!

It was a fun and exhausting weekend.

Fall Festival

Ben has been doing SO GREAT at Cool Spring.  He has made so many friends and loves going to school each day.  We went to the Fall Festival and it was a blast!  I think Thomas had the most fun as he got to go bowling and ride the train 4 times in a row!

Great Country Farms

In early October I took Ben & AJ to Great Country Farms for the afternoon.  We met up with my friend Christina and her lovely four children.  I met Christina earlier this summer as Ben and her daughter Peyton bonded at the community camp.  Ben has made so many friendships this summer and I am so happy to see him enjoying so many fun activities and friendships with his buddies.
